Today our alarm goes off before 7 am, because we have a long train journey ahead of us, almost ten hours to be exact. Naturally, we buy food for the whole journey: We get breakfast, lunch and dinner from a large shop right at Trondheim station. We take a direct train from Trondheim up to Bodø. The train ride is beautiful: The scenery outside alternates between dense forests, lakes, fjords and waterfalls, and we even spot a few moose. We edit our photos and videos and carry on writing our blog, though the beautiful scenery keeps “distracting” us and we simply gaze at the landscape passing by.
With our first-class Interrail ticket, we travel in Premium Class, which means free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and breakfast. On top of that there are comfortable seats, wifi and power sockets, which makes for a pleasant journey. We arrive in Bodø without any problems and without any significant delay. DB could take a leaf out of their book! Our Comfort Hotel Bodø is the nicest place we have stayed so far: Modern, attractively designed, with breakfast and a fitness centre.
