Stockholm Day 3

Summer, sun, sunshine. We definitely have that here in Stockholm. That’s why the first thing we did was go to a pharmacy and buy sun cream and after-sun lotion. Next we wanted to buy a SIM card at the TELIA shop, but unfortunately that turned out not to be possible, as the number of GB per SIM card was limited and for a subscription we would have had to be Swedish citizens. Luckily we didn’t buy anything. Later we found out that we could buy mobile data for abroad much more cheaply from Sunrise. Today we actually didn’t want to walk as much as yesterday. But what would life be without surprises. We spent the whole morning and midday on an island in Rosendals Trädgard Park.

The change from the big city was very relaxing, the park was quiet, very green and idyllic. It felt like we walked through the whole island, until we had aching feet and rumbling stomachs from hunger.

Our plan was to have lunch at the Stadhus again, as we had liked it so much yesterday. So we had to be a bit quicker, because to get there we would have had to walk for a whole hour. So there was only one thing for it, renting an e-scooter. Unfortunately, there was only a single free one for miles around. So Annina had to stand behind Nicolas on the same scooter and hold on tight. After we got lost several times, Annina nearly fell off and the scooter could only carry the two of us up the hill at walking pace, we decided to walk after all. Later we then rented one scooter each and rode along the coast by the harbour, which was great fun. With salad, wraps and dessert we sat down again on the windy steps right by the sea at the Stadhus. In the blazing sun we could enjoy our lunch to the full. Back near our hotel, we went a bit further north to the city library. We liked it a lot, because the library hall was very big and open, with lots of old books.

At the hotel we worked a bit in the lobby with tea and biscuits, before we ordered our dinner via Uber Eats again. Today it was Asian. Glass noodle Pad Tai and yellow curry. That was the best food so far! Unfortunately this is our last evening here, tomorrow our journey north already begins.
