Today we stay at our beautiful hotel and just enjoy our time here. It is partly cloudy at 29 degrees. For breakfast there is a croissant with butter and red jam, along with slices of fruit, a glass of yellow juice and a small pot. A waffle with banana slices, dollops of cream, chopped nuts and mint is also on the table, with a small bowl of dark sauce next to it.
In the garden, stepping stones lead through palms, plants with red leaves and a small rice field with a garden lamp beside it. The pool lies between palms, with a wooden deck and sun loungers, and the water shimmers turquoise. Next to the pool a net hangs over an overgrown area. Annina sits on it and looks out over the palms.
The gym is part of our day too. Two treadmills and several strength machines stand in a bright room with a large window front facing the greenery.
The food is good. In the evening a striped bowl with a small heap of rice in a light sauce comes to the table, topped with a rose made of mango slices with black sesame seeds and two flowers.
We also read and edit photos. Tomorrow we leave Ubud, go by car to the ferry port of Padang Bai and continue from there by ferry to Lombok.
