Since we edited a few photos from yesterday, it got late before we got to bed. So we only check out at noon and set off for the next accommodation, which is a good two and a half hours’ drive south. On the way we go shopping at an ICA Maxi and Annina buys a pair of loose trousers, since her legs are covered in mosquito bites. Back on the road, a storm brews up more and more above us. At first we photograph the great atmosphere with the dark clouds and the partly sunlit forests.
Shortly afterwards the storm hits us. It pours down buckets and the rain gets so heavy that we have to stop at a car park next to the road, because we can no longer see out of the car. We wait in the warmth while it starts to hail outside and it feels like the end of the world.
After a while we dare to get back on the road, and not even 5 minutes later we are in a fair-weather area with completely dry roads… The storm was probably quite localised in this case, but our car badly needed a wash anyway and it has now been taken care of for us free of charge.
We arrive at our accommodation, a small cottage on a farm. The key is already in the lock outside when we arrive. The accommodation is very nicely and cosily furnished and we look forward to this night in the countryside. We have a large, beautiful balcony and right in front of it there is a lush meadow with cows and even a little calf, which hops around happily in the meadow. We spend the rest of the afternoon on the terrace watching the cows. 🐮
In the evening we once again have mashed potatoes and veggie meatballs and of course a salad with them. Today we want to go to bed a bit earlier, because tomorrow we want to set off early again towards the south.
